ABC’s of Gratitude

A few reoccurring themes in conversations and events over the past two weeks have led me to the Gratitude Challenge, On Day Two, the task is to “Use the alphabet as a fun and quick format for making a list of things for which you feel grateful. Share this list with your social network through email or a blog post.” Hope you enjoy the list as much as I enjoyed creating it.

A, E because he was the first thought that popped into my head for “A” even though he should probably go under “E”.

Being able to walk, run and dance without restriction or pain.

Catching someone singing in their car.

Days on the weekend that seem to last forever.

Electricity.

Family and friends and freedom. The book by Jonathan Franzen and the concept.

Green grass in the summer.

Hot chocolate in the winter.

Ice cream came to mind, but I prefer Custard.

Job. Having one.

Kelly. For notifying me that Lime-A-Rita now comes in 16 ounce cans.

Little boys who get more interesting and funny each day i.e. my nephews.

Mack.

Naps.

Orange. In the sunset. On flowers. Maybe as an okay nail polish color.

Pilates. For challenging my body and improving my life.

Quick trips to the grocery store in the morning.

Rye bread. Corn beef. Sauerkraut. Swiss cheese. Thousand Island dressing. I just made a Reuben sandwich in my mind. Tastes so good.

Singing and playing guitar with my brother.

Tiny Temper Tantrums that make me feel a little bit better.

Uncontrollable laughter by the actors during an SNL sketch.

Vogue by Madonna.

Water skiing and writing because I do not wonder what time it is when I’m doing either one.

X. The mark I put across something on my to do list.

You. For taking the time to read this MEB blog post.

Zumba for being 55 minutes of pure silliness.
